A chalet bursting with character

A joint SKILINE IMMOBILIARE and ZENUCCHI ARREDAMENTO project designed to give this olde-worlde lodge a modern makeover and a distinctive character. The first step was to remove the plaster from the walls and customise the wall coverings. The entire chalet has a heat-treated larchwood parquet which in the day area also rises up vertically to cover the staircase, the walls of the kitchen and fireplace and the benches alongside, completed with fabric cushions to create comfortable and relaxing seats. The dining table is custom-made from heat-treated larchwood with central base in natural iron. Extendible, it is paired with fabric seats by Molteni&C. The kitchen is destructured: two custom-made columns covered in wax-treated natural iron sheet metal which house the pantry, fridge, dishwasher, oven and wine cellar; a work zone featuring the Dada kitchen top with floating base unit which houses the washbasin and cooktop, shelf extractor fan and black wood “ladders” with shelves that can be used as a sideboard.

Vintage style with a modern twist

The living room has a corner sofa with Flezform fabric, which is accompanied by central coffee tables that can become stools if necessary. Behind the sofa a large console table. A large hanging Flos lamp, visible from the outside and lit up, resembles the moon. The ceiling with visible beams conceals rails with adjustable spotlights. The room is given depth by an original customised wallpaper featuring a print of a larch wood in the winter, which decorates the back wall. An attentive study designed to optimise the number of beds, 10 in total, completes the chalet. The bedrooms come with Sommier fabric beds with matching tables and bedside tables; the wardrobes are all custom-made. The basement is home to the SPA with Kos tub and Turkish bath and relaxing Coro beds. The entrance is very evocative, the little outdoor area furnished with a B&B Italia armchair with Roda table, arranged around a Corten AK47 steel brazier.
